Meet The Team

MICHAEL CLANCY

Chief Executive Officer
Michael, a University of Idaho graduate in Environmental Science and GIS, is a geospatial technology expert with extensive experience in ecology and restoration. He currently unifies and leads the team at EcoPoint to improve operations for the benefit of organizations and the environment.

Matthew Gregor

Chief Technology Officer
Matthew Gregor brings nearly 20 years of GIS experience, specializing in application development and technology leadership. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, with sub-concentrations in Mathematics and Military Science, and is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Throughout his career, Matthew has built and supported enterprise applications for the world’s largest providers of satellite imagery while also advancing technology for local community companies. His background also includes environmental and GIS consulting and development, with specializations in data management and automation

PETE PARKER, PhD

Chief Operating Officer
As a former Professor, Pete maintains an analytical approach to operations while helping the Oil & Gas sector reduce risk, save time and minimize costs. He leverages his extensive natural resources management academic and field expertise to provide innovative solutions to the client in terms of reclamation and asset management.

Matt Hoobler

Director of Restoration Services

Matt Hoobler has an extensive background in land and natural resource management and environmental stewardship. He holds agricultural degrees from the University of Wyoming (B.S.) and Kansas State University (M.S.) and has continued his education in various conservation and restoration emphasis areas including range and wildlife management, stream and watershed assessment, and large-scale project planning, permitting, construction, and monitoring. Matt is a Director with the Wyoming Wild Sheep Foundation and a board member of the University of Wyoming College of Agriculture, Life Sciences, and Natural Resources Advisory Board. Matt is based in Wyoming and enjoys his time afield, usually hunting and fishing with his family, friends, and horses. 

WESLEY COLLINS

Director of Government Services
Wesley has years of experience in resource management with state and federal agencies, specializing in livestock, habitat, vegetation, and recreation management. With a background in Wildlife Biology and a Master’s in Applied Geography in GIS, he finds solutions to complex ecological questions with detailed geospatial products.

Tyler Hoehn

Director of Software Engineering: DevOps
Tyler has over 10 years of experience in networking, programming and automation. He holds a BS in Mathematics from University of Nebraska – Lincoln and a MS in Business Analytics from Bellevue University. Tyler worked for Maxar/Vantor providing Development Operations support and automation for deployment of REST APIs and monitoring solutions. He also has experience with database administration and report writing as well as implementing CI/CD processes via Kubernetes and GitHub integrations.

Kyle Jones

Director of Software Engineering: API Development
Kyle was born in Seattle Washington and raised in Youngstown Ohio.Kyle spent 10 years as active duty in the Army, working in IT and satellite communications. He transitioned to the Army Reserves in 2022 as an instructor. He has a BS in Cybersecurity and an MS in IT both from Southern New Hampshire University. Most of his software engineering experience over the last few years has been in DoD contracting.

SCOTT JENSEN, PhD

Senior Environmental Professional

Scott began his natural resources career in Oregon, working on fire crews and thinning timber during college breaks. Scott holds BS and MS degrees in Wildlife and Range Resources and a PhD in Wildlife and Wildlands Conservation from Brigham Young University. Enjoying research, Scott worked for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources studying wildlife habitat and noxious weeds then moved to the Forest Service, Rocky Mountain Research Station to head up the Utah and eastern Nevada portions of the Great Basin Native Plant Project where he spent 22 years collecting, developing, and evaluating native plant materials. Scott has published articles in numerous natural resource journals and developed specialized equipment for natural resource management. Scott is based along the Wasatch front and enjoys spending time with his family in Utah’s mountains.

JASON STETTLER, PHD

Production Facility Manager
Jason has over 15 years of experience in field botany, plant taxonomy, and geospatial analysis. He holds a BS degree in Botany from Weber State University, a MS degree in Plant Science from Utah State University, and a PhD in Wildlife and Wildlands Conservation from Brigham Young University. Jason worked for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources evaluating cultural practices for improving seed production of native forbs, including Lupine and Penstemon species. Jason’s research background is in native plant materials development of Utah birdsfoot trefoil (Lotus utahensis) and Blue penstemon (Penstemon cyaneus) evaluating germplasm for potential cultivar development to be used in restoration projects in the Intermountain West. Jason also has years of experience in environmental consulting, specializing in seed mix design for post-fire rehab, reclamation, and energy development.

Shantel Hansen

Marketing Coordinator

Shantel grew up in Ogallala, Nebraska, spent 17 years on the East Coast, and for the past 15 years has called Colorado home. She’s a mom, a storyteller, and someone who believes in the power of community both in life and in work.

Professionally, Shantel has organized a monthly filmmaker showcase at The Elizabeth Hotel, bringing together creators of all walks of life to share their work, connect, and be inspired. She’s passionate about supporting women in film and photography and loves creating spaces where creativity and collaboration thrive. She loves making films that shine a light on stories that matter from HER STRIPES, a documentary about women football referees breaking barriers, to THE HIDDEN OCEAN, a project close to home about the Ogallala Aquifer and the communities it sustains.

JENNIE HARDY

Director of Well-Site Intelligence
Raised in Estes Park, Colorado, Jennie developed a desire to protect natural resources. With a B.S. in Rangeland Ecology from the University of Wyoming, she effectively collaborates with operators and regulators to ensure environmental compliance in stormwater and reclamation. She holds certifications as a Transportation Erosion Control Supervisor and Certified Inspector of Sediment and Erosion Controls.

ISABELLA KLAJBOR

Geospatial Professional
Isabella initially joined EcoPoint as a field technician after receiving a Wildlife degree at Colorado State University. Now in the GeoStorm and Technology department, she combines her field experience and love for problem solving to continually improve EcoPoint’s services. Isabella is certified as a Transportation Erosion Control Supervisor and SWMP Administrator for Design.

LOUIS BINI

Environmental Professional
Louis holds a B.S. in Geography from Colorado State University. He specializes in vegetation management at EcoPoint helping clients achieve restoration goals through applied field work. With a background in construction he is experienced in delivering efficient, cost effective, and accurate field services.

KIRSTEN CLANCY

Human Resources Manager
Kirsten brings a background in Professional Writing and Rhetoric, with degrees from the University of Idaho and Colorado Mesa University. Passionate about the outdoors, she supports EcoPoint’s employees and customers with strong communication skills honed over six years of administrative and financial experience.

MIRANDA MURPHY

Financial Administrator
Miranda brings insights from her role as an Energy office administrator in the refined fuel and propane industry, focusing on economic and environmental impacts. Miranda has a BA in Sustainable Studies and add 25 years of financial and administrative experience and contributes daily to EcoPoint’s growth and learning.

LAURIE HOLMLUND

Administrator
Laurie brings organization from her role as an Accountant in both county and state finance. She is currently pursuing a BS in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting at Colorado Mountain College, and contributes daily to EcoPoint’s fleet and administration needs.

RILEY THRASHER

Well Site Manager
Riley has a passion for sustainability and for preserving natural resources for future generations to enjoy as we do today. With a B.S. in Geoscience from Southern New Hampshire University, she specializes in providing geospatial solutions with her extensive experience in land surveying, construction, geospatial analysis and aerial imagery collection.

SHANTANNA HEFFLEY

Senior Environmental Field Technician
Shantanna brings a wealth of field experience from organizations like the U.S. Forest Service and NRCS, and various universities. With a B.S. in Biology from the University of the Ozarks, she specializes in reclamation monitoring, asset management, aerial imagery collection, and GIS work. Her other duties for EcoPoint include landowner letters/communication tracking, and social media posts.

CECILIA LARSON

Senior Environmental Field Technician
Cecilia uses her enduring fascination with the natural world to bring a detail-oriented focus to her work in reclamation monitoring, stormwater inspections, asset management, and geospatial analysis. She holds a B.A. in Geology from Oberlin College and a Certificate in GIS from Michigan State University.

AMY SHERMAN

Senior Environmental Field Technician
Amy has a background in Wildlife Biology from Texas State University and a Masters in Natural Resource Stewardship from Colorado State University. With experience in data management and GIS at the National Park Service as well as various field jobs, she brings a strong skill set to the EcoPoint Team.

AUDRA STUCK

DevOps Engineer/DBA
Audra is a recent graduate where her interest in the intersectionality of geospatial solutions in the environment inspired her to receive a B.A. in Environment and Sustainability Studies and a GIS and Remote Sensing minor. Her love of problem solving along with her environmental and GIS background bring a strong skill set to Ecopoint.

SYD HOLPP

Senior Environmental Technician
Syd is a recent graduate from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Ecosystem Science and Sustainability. She has an interest in Soil Science and was a member of the Colorado State Soil Judging Team and worked alongside NRCS Soil Scientists as a lab assistant during her senior year. Syd is eager to continue learning and growing as a young professional with the Ecopoint team.

Doug Dennison

Director of Oil and Gas Services
Doug has over 20 years of working in the oil and gas industry in Colorado and other western states in a variety of roles in environmental and regulatory compliance and government and community affairs. His experience in Colorado is split between the Piceance and DJ Basins and he has also worked in Utah, New Mexico and Wyoming. Doug has a wide range of experience with Federal, state and local regulatory agencies throughout the mountain west and has worked on some of the highest profile development projects in the Rockies. Doug’s understanding of oil and gas compliance requirements, operations and the stressors that operators feel on a daily basis helps guide EcoPoint staff to provide the most efficient and effective solutions for our clients. He holds a BS degree in geology from Western Colorado University and an MS degree in geochemistry from Eastern Washington University.

Mitchell Bond

Environmental Professional
Mitchell earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Colorado Mesa University and brings a wealth of experience in environmental consulting and construction. His professional focus has included the remediation of spills and releases within the oil and gas industry, as well as ecosystem restoration and habitat management. Mitchell is dedicated to upholding environmental regulatory standards while striving to alleviate financial strain for all stakeholders involved.

Traver Melby

Regional Operations Manager
Traver was born and raised in Williston, North Dakota, and graduated from Williston High School in 2008. His professional background is in Oil and Gas, encompassing everything from drilling and production to gas gathering. Traver has been with the POC fire department in Williston since 2010. When not working, Traver enjoys spending time with his kids and fiancée, as well as hunting, fishing, video games, hockey, and golfing.

Sydnee Klug

GIS Analyst

Sydnee is from Gunnison, Colorado. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Environmental Sustainability. While her undergraduate work focused on community outreach and environmental education, a GIS internship sparked an interest for geospatial analysis and mapping. She’s eager to leverage this technology for environmental monitoring and restoration services at EcoPoint.

She spends her free time camping, hiking, and paddleboarding and is passionate about conservation. She also enjoys photography, baking, and reading.

Tanner Wenzel

Senior Environmental Field Technician
Tanner holds a B.S. in Ecosystem Science and Sustainability from Colorado State University. He previously served with Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the U.S. Forest Service as a Maintenance and Recreation Technician, where he managed noxious weeds, maintained grounds and natural resources, and supported public recreation operations. As Restoration’s Field Lead, Tanner specializes in herbicide application, Integrated Pest Management (IPM) implementation, and large-scale ecological restoration, delivering projects with a strong emphasis on precision, sustainability, and long-term site health.

Shania McCain

Senior Environmental Field Technician
Shania attended Metropolitan State University in Denver, CO, and graduated with a BA in Biology while assisting the college with 3 years of vegetation monitoring at Chatfield State Park. Shania worked for several organizations and counties across Colorado doing vegetation management, botanical monitoring, and water quality regulatory compliance. Shania has monitored, collected seeds, and managed vegetation in hundreds of areas on public and private land through identification of plant communities, invasive species compositions, species richness analysis, and overall site quality measurement. Here at EcoPoint, she assists with native seed collections, plant identification, vegetation management, asset management, and GIS work. Outside of work she enjoys travelling, scuba diving, hiking, and foraging.

Kameron Kealoha

Senior Greenhouse Technician
Growing up in Hawaii, Kameron early in life understood the impact of invasive species and the importance of land reclamation. As the senior greenhouse technician, he applies his passion for plant cultivation to grow native plants from seed for restoration efforts. He has an A.S. in network administration and over 15 years of agriculture experience. He has mostly worked in the cannabis industry, where he helped to create a successful, award-winning recreational cannabis brand.

Gavin Lefever

Environmental Field Technician
With a strong background in environmental fieldwork, Gavin developed a passion for protecting and restoring ecosystems. He holds a GIS certificate and brings years of experience in noxious vegetation management, land restoration, and forestry. Gavin is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial Science, where he continues to build skills in spatial analysis and environmental data collection. Prior to his environmental career, he served six years as a Combat Medic Specialist in the U.S. Army Reserve, gaining valuable experience in leadership, safety, and working effectively in demanding field environments.

Marissa Higareda

Environmental Field Technician
Marissa Higareda is originally from California. She served five years in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Sergeant before earning her B.S. in Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology from Colorado State University. While at CSU, she supported agricultural research efforts. Marrissa has experience in ecological fieldwork, including amphibian and vegetation surveys, bird box monitoring, and the use of GIS tools. In her free time, Marissa enjoys spending time outdoors such as hiking, camping, biking, and going on adventures with her husband and their two dogs. She’s passionate about wildlife conversation and is always eager to explore new possibilities.

David Mayns

Environmental Field Technician
David attended Colorado State University. He graduated with a BS in Restoration Ecology. He also attended Front Range Community College. There, he achieved an AS in Biology and an AAS in Horticulture. David has worked in many different fields, primarily the medical field. Before pursuing a career he is passionate about. David’s knowledge focuses primarily on western Colorado and the Front Range. He is skilled in identifying plant species, using different methods of scientific data collection and measurements, reclaiming and restoring formerly disturbed environments, and has a deep understanding of Colorado ecology. During his time at EcoPoint, David learned more about reclamation and monitoring specifically in the oil and gas industry, and gained a further understanding of the regulations and requirements that guide reclamation efforts.

Blake McGahan

Accounts Payable Technician

Blake McGahan is originally from Louisiana and earned a degree in Finance from Louisiana Tech University before relocating to Colorado. Over the past several years, Blake has worked across the real estate, government, and nonprofit sectors, gaining experience in project management, program evaluation, and collaborative engagement with local partners and stakeholders. Outside of work, Blake enjoys staying active, spending time on the golf course, and exploring the outdoors across Colorado. Blake is proud to be part of the EcoPoint team and to contribute to projects that create a lasting impact.
